Any book with the word doodle in its title is sure to bring a smile of joy! For days like today where I am snowed in, I can think of nothing better to do than curl up with my fat cats, drink hot chocolate and doodle until my heart’s content. And with a Christmas film on in the background, I am in snowy heaven.
Yesterday was the first day we got proper snow. And by proper I mean 5inches and me not being able to get to work. I’ve passed the time with a nice walk in the snow, a few snowball fights and two culinary creations.
I’m now at a loss what to do…Christmas shopping is done, cards are written. This is where the ‘Usborne Books of Drawing, Doodling and Colouring for Christmas’ comes in. I got sent this back in July when it was first published and it has sat patiently on my bookshelf since then. This book is packed full of wonderful inspirational pages of snowmen, gingerbread houses, elves, penguins, three wise men and so much more.
Whether you fancy creating something out of nothing, or just creating snowmen faces; this book has it all. I’m currently colouring in a cute little gingerbread house. I’ve also given a copy of the book to my 33 year old friend and she loves it! So if you thought this book was just for kids…you were wrong.
I think this book will keep me going for quite a few Christmases…unless we get snowed in for a long time, that is.
